China News Service, Tokyo, November 3 (Reporter Lu Shaowei) According to the official website of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, from November 8th, Chinese and foreign passengers who take flights to China from Japan must present the certificate within 2 days before boarding (with Sampling date shall prevail) A certificate of negative test for new coronavirus nucleic acid and a certificate of negative test for serum specific IgM antibody (hereinafter referred to as serum IgM antibody) (hereinafter referred to as double negative certificate) boarding.

  The notice requires passengers to complete nucleic acid and serum IgM antibody sampling and testing at the testing agency designated by the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Japan within 2 days before boarding, and obtain a paper certificate of double negative results in the format designated by the embassy and consulate. The original certificate is boarded and the copy of the certificate is handed over to the airline for retention. There is no need to apply for and present the green health code with the “HS” mark or the health status statement.

  Regarding passengers departing from Japan and transiting to China via a third country (region), the notice stated that two nucleic acid tests and serum IgM antibody tests must be performed in Japan and the transit country.

The first test was carried out at the testing agency designated by the Chinese Embassy in Japan, sampling and testing were completed within 2 days before boarding, and a double-negative certificate in the designated format was obtained.

For the second test, complete sampling and testing in the transit country within 2 days before boarding of the transit, and obtain a double negative certificate.

  Regarding passengers transiting from a third country (region) to China via Japan, the notice pointed out that there are currently no nucleic acid testing agencies in the transit areas of Japan’s airports, and transit personnel cannot enter Japan for testing.

Please plan to adjust the itinerary for those who transfer back to the country via Japan, and try to choose the place of departure for direct flights to China, and avoid connecting flights from Japan.

If you really need to transfer, please apply for an entry visa from the Japanese embassy or consulate in the place of origin, and comply with the 14-day epidemic prevention policy of Japan's entry isolation.

After the quarantine period is over, please take a direct flight to China for testing and boarding.

  The notice also specifically reminds you to carefully choose the transit route to China.

Earnestly understand the entry regulations of the country to be transferred, as well as the relevant requirements for nucleic acid and serum IgM antibody testing at the transfer location, so as to avoid the consequences of blocked transfers, detention, and repatriation to the place of departure due to inability to enter or testing at the transfer location, which increases the risk of infection.

In addition, transit passengers cannot take direct flights to Beijing.
