The Slovenian Primoz Roglic won Friday in Suances (north) the 10th stage of the Tour of Spain cycling, his third stage since the start of the event, and recovered the first place in the general classification which he had lost last Sunday.

In a steep final at the end of a mostly flat stage, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) gained the upper hand in a sprint between punchers and recovered 10 seconds of bonus as well as 3 seconds on Richard Carapaz (Ineos), for recover the leader's red jersey in the same second as his Ecuadorian opponent.

All the main favorites were first classified at the same time, before a break was finally noted between the 8th on the stage, Guillaume Martin, and the 9th, Jasper Philipsen.

A three-second hole that offers Roglic the red jersey ... but also the responsibility of the race for his team from tomorrow in a high mountain stage.

The peloton, led by riders from Astana, Deceuninck and Mitchelton-Scott, came back 16 km from the line on a breakaway formed by the Spaniard Jonathan Lastra (Caja Rural), the Belgian Brent Van Moer (Lotto- Soudal) and the Dutch Alex Molenaar (Burgos-BH) and Pim Ligthart (Total Direct Energie).
