Friday morning, at the end of five days of trial, the attorney general had requested life imprisonment against the main accused, speaking of a "crime of exceptional savagery" and twenty years against the young mother who "attended the killing her child and did nothing ”.

In the evening, the Assize Court of Hérault delivered its verdict in the trial for the death of little Kenzo, aged 21 months and who died after having undergone numerous tortures.

The child's mother's former companion, a 35-year-old mason, was sentenced to life imprisonment.

The sentence was accompanied by a safety period of twenty-two years.

The mother of the child, aged 23, was for her part sentenced to thirty years of criminal imprisonment.

His sentence was accompanied by eighteen years of safety.

A hundred recent bruises in children

The Advocate General recalled that nearly a hundred recent bruises had been found all over the body of the child, who died of a burst liver in the camera of a hotel room in Lunel on the 14th. February 2017.

Doctors on the bar compared what the baby had suffered to the violence of a "traffic accident".

"You judge the massacre of a child whose torment will have lasted four and a half months, you judge child torturers", launched the Advocate General.

"Regarding the murder of her child, it is a mother, it is a victim", assured during her plea Me Sophie Bonnaud, one of the lawyers of Angelina Seine.

The defense of Teddy Maton for its part overwhelmed his ex-girlfriend, who was not prosecuted for murder.

"There is a secret, a mystery in this room", assured Me Guy Debuisson, affirming that the mother was the one who had "given the fatal blows" and that the doubt existing according to him on the guilt of his client should lead to an acquittal.
