The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas quoted government sources today, Friday, that the contents of the written message carried by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nasser, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Acting Minister of Information, the envoy of the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawwaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz;

It includes consultation on many issues, including the Gulf dispute.

According to the same sources, consultation and coordination cover all areas, including the security and economic challenges facing the region.

The sources explained to Al-Qabas newspaper that coordination with Saudi Arabia "comes because it is fundamental and pivotal in the region, and the message includes relations between the two countries, means of supporting and strengthening them in various fields and at all levels, in addition to issues of common interest, and the most important regional and international developments."

It is noteworthy that Kuwait is mediating in the Gulf conflict, which erupted as a result of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt in June 2017 blockading Qatar and severing relations with it.

On the 18th of this month, the Emir of Kuwait sent a written message to the King of Saudi Arabia, and Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the envoy of the Emir of Kuwait and Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, delivered another message from Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to his Saudi counterpart Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

The messages of the Emir of Kuwait and his crown prince to the Saudi leadership relate to the relations between the two countries and the two peoples, and ways to support and strengthen them in various fields, as well as touching on the latest developments in the regional and international arenas.
