The start of the season in the Bandyallsvenskan has been postponed until 19 November.

This was announced by the Swedish Bandy Association on Thursday evening.

The background is stricter coronary restrictions in several regions in Sweden.

It is not only the Allsvenskan that is affected, but several other series.

Decisions were made on Thursday night

This affects the Sörmland bandy and Katrineholm bandy's board made several decisions on Thursday night that affect the business.

- The fact that the Allsvenskan is postponed until 19 November automatically means for us that the A-team's matches are postponed until that date, says Martin Gustafsson.

According to him, the board has, among other things, decided to pause all match activities in the club and not just the A-team's matches.

- We have two clubs in the county and the training matches we have we usually play against teams from Stockholm or Östergötland.

Regions where coronary restrictions have been tightened.

So we see no benefit in continuing to cling on and keep playing.

So we have paused.

"Commuted between hope and despair"

The new arena in Katrineholm was recently inaugurated and Martin Gustafsson says that it feels tough that the matches are now postponed.

- We have oscillated between hope and despair.

We have worked very hard to make everything work.

The new rules of being able to take in 300 spectators have been a step in the right direction and we have really only waited for an approval to be able to drive on it - but then this decision will come on Thursday night ... that you will strike again.

According to Martin Gustafsson, the players feel confused and they wonder what will happen.

- It is, among other things, about having a clear mission - to be the best right now.

And then everything is paused.
