A lover of pedophile images denounced by his computer repairer

He was already registered with the perpetrators of sexual offenses and had already been convicted of sexual assault on minors, corruption or incitement to debauchery.

Thursday, a resident of Vannes (Morbihan) was sentenced to four years in prison for having consulted and stored hundreds of child pornography files on his computer.

Incarcerated since the end of 2019, the sixty-year-old was kept in detention after the hearing before the Vannes Criminal Court.

The seizure of his computer had made it possible to identify the consultation of 300,000 child pornography photos from this terminal.

At the bar, the defendant partially admitted the facts, explaining "having fallen into a trap" while frequenting pornographic sites.

The man, who explains that he was raped when he was a child, also allegedly tried to obtain images of minors aged 8 and 12 by offering money to a young Madagascan he met on the Net.

Already sentenced several times, the defendant was sentenced to four years in prison.

A sentence accompanied by a socio-judicial follow-up of four years.
