Ukraine fears cancellation of visa-free regime with the EU due to the decision of the Constitutional Court

As the ambassador noted, the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on the recognition of a significant part of the provisions of the law "On Prevention of Corruption" as inconsistent with the Constitution caused concern in the West.

“As our contacts unofficially note so far, the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which canceled the key anti-corruption powers of the NACP, criminal liability for inaccurate declaration, is a sufficient reason for the European Commission to start a mechanism for temporarily suspending the visa-free regime,” Tochytsky wrote.

Earlier, the media wrote that the Constitutional Court of Ukraine declared illegal electronic declaration and deprived the authority of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPK).
