Mixed evening for the French clubs: Lille snatched the draw (2-2) against Celtic Glasgow while Nice, a few hours after the knife attack that grieved the city, won (1-0) against Hapoel Beer Sheva on Thursday on Matchday 2 of the Europa League group stage.

Lille hanging at home

The Mastiffs come back from afar but may have regrets: led 2-0 at half-time by Celtic Glasgow, the Lille came back to score thanks to goals from Zeki Celik (67th) and Jonathan Ikoné (75th), but this draw at home does not do their business, a week after their convincing success on the lawn of Sparta Prague (4-1).

Le Losc may regret the penalty missed by Jonathan David (41st).

Arrived this summer from La Gantoise, the Canadian striker, the most expensive rookie in the club's history, has still not scored his first goal in his new colors.

Lille thus leaves AC Milan the only leader of Group H. The Lombards, 3-1 winners in Glasgow on the first day, clearly won at home against Prague (3-0) on Thursday.

They now have 6 points, against 4 for Lille.

Nice revives after the drama

Struck in the morning by a knife attack that killed three people in its Notre-Dame basilica, the city of Nice saw the Gym players win a highly symbolic victory against Hapoel Beer Sheva (1-0).

In tribute to the victims of this attack, the two teams observed a minute of silence before kick-off.

On the ground, the Nice put behind them their heavy inaugural defeat against Bayer Leverkusen (6-2).

It was a goal from the former Lyonnais Amine Gouiri (23rd), already his 5th under his new colors, which offered the victory to the Gym.

Nice (3 pts) thus comes back to the height of its evening opponent, winner 3-1 of Slavia Prague last week.

Reduced to 10 in the 22nd minute after the exclusion of his striker Karim Bellarabi, Leverkusen fell 1-0 in Prague.

With the meetings of Thursday evening, the four teams of group C are tied, with 3 pts each.

Tottenham stumbles, Arsenal serene

The surprise of the evening came from Antwerp, 1-0 winner of Tottenham.

It's a hard return to earth for Spurs of José Mourinho, authors of a good start to the season in the league and 3-0 winners of the Austrians in Linz on the first day of the group stage.

With this success, Antwerp (6 pts) leads alone group J ahead of Tottenham and Linz, winner 4-3 of Ludogorets.

Arsenal, for their part, easily dominated modest Irish club Dundalk 3-0 at Emirates Stadium despite Mikel Arteta's choice to leave many regular holders on the bench.

The Gunners (6 pts), 2-1 winners last week on Rapid Vienna, dominate Group B tied with Molde, who defeated the Austrians 1-0.
