This was announced by the aide to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev.

"About 30 bodies of the military and officers of the Armenian Armed Forces remaining on the battlefield were to be given to the Armenian side, as well as two elderly citizens of Armenia," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to Hajiyev, the transfer process "took place today in the Gazakh-Tovuz region."

He also noted that Baku highly appreciates the efforts of the Russian Ministry of Defense "and personally Minister Sergei Shoigu."

“The Armenian side agreed to accept the bodies of the dead, supporting the initiative of the Russian Federation to open a humanitarian corridor,” he said.

The press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Defense Shushan Stepanyan confirmed that 29 bodies of Armenian soldiers were transferred to the Armenian side.

On October 18, Azerbaijan expressed readiness to unilaterally transfer to Armenia the bodies of those killed during the hostilities in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
