Venezuelan opponent Leopoldo Lopez arrived in Madrid on Sunday, October 25 after leaving Venezuela where he had taken refuge in the residence of the Spanish ambassador.

Leopoldo Lopez had left illegally
the residence of the Spanish ambassador in Caracas
where he had been a refugee for 18 months, passing through the border with Colombia, announced his father, MEP of the Spanish People's Party.
Leopoldo López is due to reunite with his family in Madrid, where other Venezuelan opposition leaders also reside, such as the ex-mayor of Caracas, Antonio Ledezma.
No details have filtered out on the conditions of his departure from the Spanish diplomatic enclosure located in an upscale neighborhood in the east of the Venezuelan capital.
Mentor of Juan Guaido
Leopoldo Lopez, 49, is one of the figures in the opposition to Socialist President Nicolas Maduro.
Founder of the centrist party Voluntad Popular (Popular Will), he is considered the political mentor of Juan Guaido, whom nearly sixty countries recognize as interim president of Venezuela.

” Leopoldo López himself wrote on Twitter on Saturday evening.
