Michel Fourniret and his ex-wife Monique Olivier are summoned Monday in the Ardennes, to the place where the serial killer is accused of having kidnapped and killed Estelle Mouzin in 2003, four months after unsuccessful searches to find the body of the 'child.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the duo are expected in the early afternoon in Ville-sur-Lumes, near Charleville-Mézières, in the house where Monique Olivier claims that her ex-husband kidnapped, raped and killed Estelle Mouzin, 9 years old.

The partial DNA of Estelle Mouzin was found in two places on a mattress seized in the house, where searches were carried out at the end of June, in vain, to find the corpse of the child.

This trip follows the confrontation between the two ex-husbands, on October 15, in Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne), at the scene of the girl's disappearance on her return from school on January 9, 2003.

"The program is not yet established"

The goal of investigating judge Sabine Khéris, who resumed investigations in 2019 and obtained the couple's confession, is to revive the memories of the 78-year-old serial killer, whose convoluted statements and neurological condition complicate the search for Estelle's body.

"The program is not yet established, it will evolve according to the statements of the indicted and could be spread over several days", according to a source close to the file.

The couple could also be taken to the Château du Sautou, a 15-hectare property that belonged to the “ogre des Ardennes”, not far from Ville-sur-Lumes, also unsuccessfully excavated in June.

In Guermantes, Monique Olivier confirmed "the involvement of Michel Fourniret in the disappearance of Estelle," Me Didier Seban, lawyer for Eric Mouzin, the father of the girl, told the press.

"A being who is no longer there by my fault"

Indicted in November 2019 for "kidnapping and sequestration followed by death", Michel Fourniret had confessed in March his responsibility in the case: "I recognize there a being who is no longer there by my fault", he had declared to the judge.

He had considered "relevant" that the body of the girl could be in one of his former properties in the Ardennes.

In August, Monique Olivier, who had already accused her ex-husband of the murder of the girl, was indicted for "complicity".

Michel Fourniret was convicted in 2008 of the murders of seven young women or adolescent girls between 1987 and 2001 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
