Ivanka Trump threatens to go to court over ads in New York

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of US President Donald Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, has threatened to sue Republicans opposed to Trump for publishing advertisements in "Times Square" in New York about Corona deaths in the country.

Attorney Mark Kasowitz addressed the threat on Friday in a letter to the "Lincoln" project, describing the ads as "false, malicious, defamatory, and an outrageous and shameful insult."

He said, "If these billboards are not removed immediately, we will sue you for that, which will undoubtedly cost you huge and punitive damages."

For its part, the "Lincoln" project replied in separate posts, saying, "Crazy! ... the billboards will remain in place."
