On Saturday, on Europe 1, the minister delegate in charge of citizenships asked everyone "to stop lying down in front of the Islamists and their accomplices", while praising the government's action to fight against radical Islamism.

INTERVIEW

Eight days after the Conflans-Sainte-Honorine attack, the government is planning new measures, and intends to strengthen its bill against separatism, for example by sanctioning those who publish, especially online, personal information "endangering the life of others, "Jean Castex announced on Friday.

But for Marlène Schiappa, Minister Delegate in charge of Citizenship, invited Saturday from Europe 1, everyone has a role to play in this fight.

"It is time for everyone to stop their small compromises in front of the Islamists", she claims.

Faced with Islamism, "the government is doing everything in its power," she said, recalling that Emmanuel Macron had closed "nearly 300 places for questions of radicalization", while the minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin "had expelled nearly 250 radicalized foreigners".

"The government cannot do it all alone"

But, adds Marlène Schiappa, "the government cannot do it all on its own".

For the minister, "it is time for everyone to stop their small compromises, to stop lying down in front of the Islamists and their accomplices".

"This is not a fight against Muslims", assures the member of the government again, but "a fight against radical Islamists who want to impose Sharia law in France and in the world, and do so by violence".
