  On August 4, local time, two explosions occurred in the port of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Many blocks in downtown Beirut were destroyed and many houses were damaged. About 200 people were killed, 6,000 were injured, and 300,000 people were left homeless due to the explosion. .

  The aid mission started on September 30. The Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers to Lebanon, together with the peacekeeping forces of France, Spain, Cambodia and other countries, completed the cleanup of nearly 60,000 square meters of ruins in Beirut Port in just 19 days, the recovery of usable materials, and the collapse of steel. Demolition of frames, transportation of construction waste, as well as tasks such as cleaning up the ruins of 3 streets in the city, searching for cultural relics, finding valuable items, protecting and strengthening damaged ancient relics, cleaning and repairing the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, and protecting cultural relics.

  It is understood that in order to ensure that the mission is completed on schedule, Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers work 6 days a week and work nearly 10 hours a day. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the officers and soldiers are still working overtime and fighting on the front line of the mission.
