The Lyonnaises Wendie Renard and Amel Majri, usual holders of the France team who had expressed themselves in recent days on the non-convocation of captain Amandine Henry, were left on the bench against North Macedonia, Friday in Orleans (9:00 p.m.).

Absent from the rally for a positive Covid-19 test but in close contact with her staff throughout the week, coach Corinne Deacon left these two executives on the sidelines, eight days after having already created a surprise by not not summoning their teammate Henry for "sporting criteria".

Renard, ex-captain of the Bleues, reacted strongly to the microphone of Canal + after this decision, admitting that "the atmosphere is not good", that "we can not continue like that" and wishing "to bring back serenity "in the group.

Majri had recognized "tensions all around us", in an interview with AFP.

Les Bleues face North Macedonia in qualifying for Euro-2022.

Composition of the Blues: Peyraud-Magnin - E. Cascarino, Tounkara, De Almeida, Karchaoui - Geyoro, Bilbault, Le Sommer (cap.) - Diani, Gauvin, Asseyi.
