On Friday, the Central Finland District Court sentenced a man to three years' imprisonment for raping an intoxicated 14-year-old girl on Midsummer in a parking garage in Jyväskylä.
At the time of the incident, the 24-year-old man had met the victim only a moment earlier in the port of Jyväskylä in a company where the victim had been offered alcohol.
According to the court, the man took the girl to the parking garage of the Jyväskylä Pavilion and to a corner there, next to a parked car.
The man penetrated the victim's vagina twice in a situation where the victim was in a helpless state due to strong intoxication and the circumstances of the act and was unable to defend himself, the court said in its verdict.
Sex was unprotected for at least part of the time.
The district court found Somchai Kritsanayut, 25, guilty of rape and aggravated sexual exploitation of a child.
