The Kingdom crowned two champions in the Arab Reading Challenge

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia crowned both the student Shahd Diaa Al Qaisum and the student Abdullah Yahya Al-Shehri, two champions of the Arab Reading Challenge at the level of the Kingdom in its fifth session, among more than one million students in the Kingdom who participated in the largest reading initiative of its kind to promote the Arabic language and establish a culture of Reading as a daily practice, building a personality keen on knowledge, and producing a comprehensive cultural movement that empowers new generations with culture and knowledge.

After a distinguished effort and a prominent performance in summarizing, presenting and discussing various books and topics, with intuitive speed and a present memory that convinced the arbitration committees, the student Abdullah Yahya Al-Shehri from the third grade of secondary school at Al-Ahnaf Bin Qais High School in Najran governorate was awarded, and the student Shahd Diaa Al Qaisum from the preparatory year program at Imam University Abdulrahman bin Faisal in the Governorate of Sharqia, the title of the Arab Reading Challenge in its fifth session in the Kingdom.

One million and 41 thousand and 86 students from all educational stages and age groups participated in the special session of the Arab Reading Challenge, organized by the "Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation", who submitted for the first time electronically rather than paper summaries of books, with the challenge adopting digital solutions In providing reading materials, receiving their summaries and evaluating students' contributions, in conjunction with the implementation of the world's countries of precautionary and preventive measures in the educational system, to contain the "Covid-19" pandemic.

Al-Anjal National School won the distinguished school title out of 22,475 schools that participated in the challenge, placing Saudi Arabia in second place, after the Arab Republic of Egypt, in terms of the number of schools participating in the fifth session of the challenge.

Abdullah Muhammad Al-Qarni, the distinguished supervisor for the fifth session, was named among 23,000 supervisors and supervisors who worked to support students participating in the challenge to apply the best methods of summarizing books and selecting their topics, and presenting the most important benefits and knowledge in them.

The final qualifiers at the level of Saudi Arabia included 465 final participants who competed for the title at the national level for this year's edition.
