This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to court documents.

“The defendant stated in her petition that she is requesting her immediate release from the Bureau of Prisons so that she would go to quarantine at her stepfather's house in Queens, New York, awaiting a second sentence ... She said nothing about voluntarily returning to Kansas for a second verdict, "- said in the order of Judge Eric Melgren.

He noted that in this case, the US Marshals Service should immediately send Osipova to her judicial district.

“The court considers the petition of the accused for urgent release as a hint that the accused wants to be sentenced in absentia.

This, according to the court, is unacceptable, "the judge added.

Earlier it was reported that Osipova was planned to be transferred to a Kansas prison.

At the same time, the American prosecutor signed a petition for the release from custody of Osipova on the basis that she served an even longer term than the court allowed.

He called to release Osipova from prison and order her to appear again for a second sentence in court.
