Torop was taken to Moscow for a forensic psychiatric examination on October 18.

“I would not be in a hurry to call myself Christ, I am the living word of God,” Klin quotes the words of Torop.

He told the PMC that he did not admit guilt in the alleged crimes.

“All these accusations sound fantastic to me,” the human rights activist quotes him.

Torop complained to the PMC about the lack of vegetarian food in the pre-trial detention center and asked for cleaning supplies for the bathroom.

“He worries about his family, says that he has seven children, two of them are eight and 12 years old,” Klin clarified, noting that Torop does not plan to visit the Orthodox church in Butyrka.

Sergei Torop was arrested by the Central District Court of Novosibirsk on 23 September.

According to the investigation, the detained leaders of the organization Sergei Torop, Vadim Redkin and Vladimir Vedernikov have been leading the Church of the Last Testament since 1991.

The head of the organization Torop called himself the Son of God Christ under the name Vissarion.

According to the Investigative Committee, in order to generate income from religious activities, they attracted money from citizens, and also used psychological violence against them, as a result of which, as a result of prolonged exposure, some of the followers of the religious organization suffered serious harm to their health.
