October 17, 2020 The appeal of the Government against the ordinance of the Piedmont Region for the verification by the schools of the effective measurement of the temperature at home to students, as required by national law, is unacceptable.

So the Piedmont TAR pronounced the sentence this afternoon.

The TAR, accepting the motivations of Piedmont, declared the appeal 'inadmissible' since the contested order expired on 7 October last.

The provision continues to be in force having been confirmed with two new and successive ordinances, the last signed yesterday by the president of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio.

"The TAR had already shown that it understood our reasons by not accepting the Government's request in September for an emergency suspension of the ordinance - underlines President Cirio - this sentence confirms our reasons. Piedmont has chosen to introduce a level more control to ensure greater safety for its citizens, schools and families, with our children but also grandparents who are among the most vulnerable in the face of the pandemic ".

The Piedmont Region, in this regard, reminds that the verification of the schools integrates and gives more effectiveness to the obligation of each family to measure the temperature of their children in the morning, as required by the law of the State, introducing an more before the didactic activity begins, that is, that the measurement has really been done by the family.

Verification by the school can take place through a simple certification or in the way deemed most suitable.

In the event that the pupil does not have the family certification, then the institute has the obligation to measure his temperature.
