After a series of poor results, Germany reassured itself on Saturday in the League of Nations by going to beat Ukraine, terribly weakened by the defections of 14 players linked to the covid-19 epidemic.

Mönchengladbach center-back Matthias Ginter opened the scoring in the 20th minute.

Munich's Leon Goretzka doubled the lead in the 49th minute, taking advantage of a ball released by Dynamo Kiev goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan, of which it was the second selection, after a nightmarish first Wednesday in Paris against France (7-1 ).

Ruslan Malinovski reduced the gap on penalty (76th).

This victory will take some of the pressure off the shoulders of Mannschaft coach Joachim Löw, who has been under fire since September after three draws, conceded each time after leading, and twice in added time.
