Fiorentina will try to revive against Sampdoria on Friday at the opening of the third day of Serie A which will offer an explosive Juventus-Naples Sunday.

A big question mark still hangs over Saturday's Genoa-Torino match, which could be postponed after the announcement of fifteen positive Covid-19 cases in the Ligurian club, including eleven players.

The League must decide this Thursday, in the absence of clear rules in Italy on whether or not to maintain a match in this type of case.

Genoa asked for the postponement because they had not been able to train normally during the week, in addition to its many positive players and therefore already withdrawals.

The uncertainty does not spare Naples, the latest opponent to date Genoa, where the players will be regularly tested until the shock against Juve, Sunday closing.

On the ground side, Fiorentina will try to start again on Friday, after its stunning defeat at San Siro against Inter Milan (3-4) despite the caviar of Franck Ribéry and the acceleration of Federico Chiesa.

Faced with a Sampdoria already back to the wall with two losses in two matches, the Viola is favorite but advances with two significant unknowns: how will have recovered "FR7", sparkling in Milan but not spared by the defenders Nerazzurri?

And will the end of the approaching transfer window not too disturb Chiesa, cited on the side of Juventus by the Italian press?

The (double) fireworks display for this 3rd day is expected on Sunday with the hot Lazio Rome-Inter Milan and Juventus Turin-Naples.

A first real test for the firepower of the interior armada of Antonio Conte - nine goals scored in two games - against a Lazio who has only four days to digest the lesson of realism that has just inflicted on him the Atalanta (1-4) in Rome.

Juventus, still in "construction" according to the admission of its coach Andrea Pirlo after the difficult draw last week against AS Roma (2-2), is on the grill with the arrival of Naples.

The fire attack led by 80 million rookie Victor Osimhen and a legacy Mertens sparked sparks in the first two matches.

The confrontation against the defending champion, although very early in the season, should allow to know a little more about the thickness of this Naples in renewal.

Juve is deprived of Adrien Rabiot, suspended after his red card in Rome, but could find their Argentinian leader Paulo Dybala, who had resumed later due to muscle discomfort.

Naples, for its part, is deprived for a few weeks of Lorenzo Insigne, injured in a thigh.

But coach Gennaro Gattuso especially hopes not to have to do without other players because of coronavirus, after the match against Genoa won 6-0.

The first round of tests did not reveal any positive cases in the workforce, but the uncertainty will continue until Sunday.
