The police first opened their eyes to the car the two men were traveling in at 2 pm in the afternoon:

- It was a traffic police patrol that would stop a car after some form of traffic offense at two o'clock.

But the motorist does not stop, but tries to drive away from the police patrol, says Christina Hallin, press spokesperson for the police Bergslagen.

10 minute long hunt

The police patrol must then have called for reinforcements and a car chase in the western parts of Örebro took over.

The chase should have lasted for about ten minutes and during it the driver should have stopped temporarily so that a passenger can jump out of the car and escape on foot.

Finally, the police stop the car in the Holmen area with the help of a "minor collision with sheet metal damage to both the police car and the other car", and the driver can be deprived of his liberty.

- I do not know exactly how the car was stopped, but no one was injured during the detention, says Christina Hallin.

Convicted of murder and attempted murder

At 15.33, the police announced that the man who fled on foot had also been found in Väster in Örebro.

Shortly afterwards, the police announced that the two arrested were two men in their 20s who had been wanted since mid-August, when they were released by armed men from Råbyhemmet outside Lund.

They were both sentenced to closed youth care, one for murder and the other for attempted murder of two brothers in Markbacken 2018.

No one was injured in the arrest

The man who drove the car is now also suspected of aggravated illegal driving and drug driving.
