A new large forest fire in California, USA, burned thousands of acres of forest in one day, CNN reported on the 28th.



On the evening of the 27th the previous day, a'glass fire' occurred near St Helena in Napa County, famous for its wine-producing area north of San Francisco, sweeping vineyards and buildings.



The flame spread rapidly across trails, hills and rivers, burning more than 2,000 acres (about 8 km2) in 14 hours despite firefighters' attempts to extinguish it.



Chaeto Boswell, a renowned Napa Valley winery (brewery), was also burned by wildfires.



The forest fire gave an evacuation order to 1,800 residents, and approximately 5,000 were notified of evacuation warnings and warnings.



Over 2,200 buildings are in the threat of wildfire.



The glass fire burned 11,000 acres (about 45 km2) until the morning of the 28th, but it has not extinguished.



Also, on the night of the 27th, other wildfires, the Boyson Fire and the Shady Fire, occurred in the west of St Helena.



A'jog fire' occurred on the 27th in Shasta County, about 300km north of San Francisco, and burned 15,000 acres (about 61㎢) by the morning of the 28th.



According to the California Fire Department (Calfire), there have been more than 8,100 wildfires in the state this year, and firefighters are still fighting 25 large wildfires.



According to Calfire, since August 15, a full-blown wildfire season, 26 people have died from wildfires and 7,000 structures have been burned down in the state.
