Xinhua News Agency, Tbilisi, September 27 (Reporter Li Ming) News from Baku: President Aliyev of Azerbaijan signed a decree on the 27th to declare that the country has entered a state of war and enforce martial law across the country.

  According to the decree, Azerbaijan has entered a state of war from 0:00 local time on the 28th, and martial law has been implemented nationwide.

In accordance with the martial law, curfews will be imposed in major cities such as Baku, Ganja, and Sumqit from 21:00 to 6:00 the next day.

  Earlier, the Azerbaijani Parliament passed the proposal.

  Azerbaijan and Armenia broke out in a new round of conflict in the Naka region on the 27th. Both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement and taking the lead in launching a military offensive.

Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan announced on the 27th that the Asian government has decided to implement martial law and military mobilization throughout the country.

  The Naka region is located in southwestern Azerbaijan, and its residents are mostly Armenians.

After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan and Armenia broke out in a battle for Nagorny, and Armenia occupied Nagorny and its surrounding parts of Azerbaijan.

In 1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia reached an agreement on a comprehensive ceasefire, but the two countries have been in a state of hostility due to the Naka issue, and armed conflicts between the two countries have occurred from time to time.
