His Highness reviewed with the center's team the basic provisions of the strategy that establishes a new phase of cooperation of the national space sector with international institutions, and the availability of qualitative ingredients that enhance the country's capabilities to compete in the international space sector.

The strategy includes the components of the UAE National Space Program, as well as five basic components: the Emirates Mars Exploration Project (Probe of Hope), the Mars 2117 Strategy, the Emirates Astronaut Program, the Satellite Development Program, and the UAE Space Sector Sustainability Program.

His Highness listened from the center's work team to the goals of the new strategy represented in consolidating innovation in the national space sector, preparing a new generation of qualified national competencies and cadres in the national space sector, and inspiring a new generation of youth in the Arab world to pursue advanced specializations in the sectors of science, technology and space. The outputs of the satellite development program will contribute to space data in various sectors locally and internationally, strengthen the partnership between the government and private sectors in the space industry, and support the UAE’s contributions in the field of dealing with crises and natural disasters.

The strategy also covers the Emirates Astronaut Program, in partnership with NASA, to prepare and qualify Emirati astronauts, enhance their expertise for future space missions, and support the realization of the country's aspirations in the space sector.

The strategy includes the UAE space sector sustainability program, with its academic and economic axes, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Education and the University of Dubai, and a group of specialized institutions in the aviation and space industries, as it supports a center for innovation and development and a program for entrepreneurs in space, and inspiring more than 22,000 students.
