Abu Abdo al-Suri, located on Muhammad Naguib Street in Alexandria, hung on the front of his shop a large sign that read, “With the help of God, the restaurant was closed today in honor of Abu Omar al-Suri ... The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said Gabriel still recommends me to the neighbor until I thought that he would inherit it. ".

Muhammad Nabil, the owner of Abu Abdo Al-Suri, said that he heard that a new restaurant wanted to open next door, so he decided to close the day of the opening, in honor and support of him and to allow customers to try his food.

He added - in a statement to Al-Jazeera Net - that he asked the workers who are preparing the neighboring restaurant about the opening date and told him that it will be on Thursday, so he prepared the sign and closed his shop on Wednesday evening, and hung the sign on the front of his shop.

Regarding the distance separating the two restaurants, Nabil said that the Abu Omar Al-Suri restaurant is completely opposite to his restaurant, and between them is a street only 3 meters wide, indicating that he did it as a token of love for the neighbor recommended by the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

When asked whether he would do his own thing if the owner of the restaurant was Egyptian, he replied that the matter is not related to a Syrian or an Egyptian, but rather to the right and position of the neighbor, and indicated that the owner of the "Abu Omar" restaurant is indeed Egyptian, except that the name of the restaurant, its management and the workers are Syrians, so the matter is not related Nationalities.
