Russian Foreign Ministry promised retaliatory measures for the expulsion of diplomats by Bulgaria

"We regard this as a deliberate attempt to damage constructive Russian-Bulgarian cooperation," the statement on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website says.

It is noted that the retaliatory measures will be announced later.

Earlier, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said that it was expelling two Russian diplomats over accusations of espionage.
