Komkov said at a press conference earlier on the 24th that he had submitted a proposal to the Norwegian Nobel Committee to nominate Putin for the 2021 Peace Prize.

"It (the proposal) was sent on September 9, and it was received by the Nobel Committee headquarters in Oslo on September 10," Komkov said.

According to the Russian Satellite News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Peskov was also asked by reporters that Putin was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Peskov said that there is nothing wrong with the president’s nomination, but the failure of the nomination will certainly not be considered a problem.

"There are certain procedures for considering nominees. If such a decision is made, it will be great, and if such a decision is not made, it will not be a problem." Peskov said.
