Visibly angry at his widow's support for Joe Biden, Donald Trump attacked on Wednesday virulently John McCain, Republican figure in the Senate who died in 2018. In a tweet with a particularly mocking and aggressive tone, the US president has news once attacked the one who was one of the few in his camp to openly criticize him.
"I barely know Cindy McCain beyond the fact that she appointed her to a commission at the request of her husband," launched the Republican billionaire, who will seek a second four-year term on November 3.
"Joe Biden was John McCain's henchman," he added, referring to his Democratic opponent, before denouncing "the bad decisions on endless wars" of the former senator.

Cindy McCain's support for Joe Biden, announced Tuesday, is a setback for Donald Trump, who prides himself on having the entire Republican family behind him.
“We are Republicans, yes, but Americans first and foremost.
There is only one candidate in this campaign who defends our values as a nation, and that is Joe Biden, ”said the widow of the former senator.
