Algerian President Abdel Majid Tebboune reiterated that the right to establish a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is not negotiable, while his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun expressed his country's adherence to the Arab initiative to solve the Middle East crisis.

This comes amid an Iraqi emphasis on the need to find a solution to the Palestinian issue that meets the right of the Palestinian people to an independent state.

President Tebboune described the Palestinian issue as the sacred cause of Algeria and its people, and said during his speech as part of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly that the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state is not subject to any action or negotiation.

He emphasized that the Palestinian issue remains for Algeria and its people a sacred issue and the mother of issues.

"We express once again our firm support for the Palestinian people, their just cause, and their inalienable or non-negotiable right to establish their independent, sovereign state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital," he added.

On Sunday, Tebboune said in an interview with local media, "I see that there is a kind of scramble towards normalization and we will not participate in it and will not bless it." This comes in the first official reaction from Algeria regarding the UAE and Bahrain signing of two normalization agreements with Israel.

Normalized and stuck

On September 15, the UAE and Bahrain signed the two normalization agreements with Israel at the White House, under American auspices, ignoring the state of anger among Arab popular circles and the Palestinian rejection.

For his part, Lebanese President Michel Aoun affirmed Lebanon's adherence to the Arab Peace Initiative to resolve the crisis in the Middle East.

During his speech, as part of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, he called for respecting UN resolutions, including Resolution 194, which guarantees the right of return for Palestinian refugees.

In a related context, Iraqi President Barham Salih stressed, in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly, the need to find a solution to the Palestinian issue that meets the Palestinian people's right to an independent state.
