23 September 2020A strong storm hit the capital, causing traffic problems, given the flooded roads and criticalities on public transport networks.

At the moment there are reports of flooding on the road network on the Cassia, the Grande Raccordo Anulare, via di Boccea and via Cornelia, in the northern area.

Lots of water on the street also in the Trieste district.

Line A of the Metro between Ottaviano and Battistini stops due to a fault in the electricity network and the San Giovanni and Manzoni stations closed due to flooding.

At the moment there are also difficulties for the circulation of trams: lines 2 and 19 interrupted due to damage from bad weather in the Belle Arti area;

line 3 limited to Pyramid for the same reason;

line 8 interrupted in the Induno area.



Strong storm in Rome, flooded streets and fallen branches



Flooding and branches on the streets due to the storm that hit the capital in the evening.

Several calls have arrived at the Fire Brigade Operations Room of the Provincial Command of Rome.

According to what is learned, most of the phone calls concern inconveniences related to water infiltration in buildings.

In addition to the firefighters, the agents of the local police of Roma Capitale are involved.
