"The investigation's petition to extend the term of detention in respect of Abyzov until December 25 was satisfied," the court's press service quoted RIA Novosti.
On Thursday, September 24, the Gagarinsky court will consider the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General's Office, demanding to recover 32.5 billion rubles from Abyzov and foreign companies controlled by him.
On August 13, the Investigative Committee completed its investigation into the criminal case of Mikhail Abyzov and 11 accomplices.
The ex-minister is accused of several economic crimes.
The first criminal case was related to the theft in 2011-2014 of 4 billion rubles from large energy suppliers and their withdrawal abroad.
