“On the morning of September 23, 2020, while passing through the Baltic Strait Zone in poor visibility conditions, a refrigerated vessel flying the flag of the Marshall Islands ICE Rose collided with a small anti-submarine ship of the Baltic Fleet“ Kazanets ”,” RIA Novosti reported.
It is noted that the Kazanets' hull received a hole above the waterline and is currently on its way to the base in the city of Baltiysk.
The Baltic Fleet Commission is investigating all the causes of the incident.
