Canada is "at a crossroads" as COVID-19 cases rise

Yesterday, Monday, health officials warned of the increase in Covid-19 cases in Canada and urged citizens to take strict preventive measures, otherwise they may face levels of outbreaks exceeding those witnessed in the first wave of the pandemic.

"Canada is at a crossroads, and individual behavior to reduce infection rates will determine our path," the Public Health Authority said in a statement.

According to the worst scenario set by the authority, injuries may exceed a thousand per day, to reach more than 155,795 by the second of October, while deaths will reach 9,300. On Monday, the total number of injuries in Canada reached 145,415, and deaths 9228.
