RB Salzburg, winner on the lawn of Maccabi Tel Aviv (2-1) and Krasnodar, who beat PAOK Salonika by the same score, took an option on the group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday in the first leg dams.

Krasnodar won in particular thanks to the French Rémy Cabella, who first allowed his team to equalize by obtaining a penalty that Claesson transformed, before giving the advantage against PAOK, 20 minutes before the end of this first leg.

The Greek club created a sensation by eliminating Besiktas Istanbul and then Benfica Lisbon.

He will try in the second leg to advance to the group stage for the first time since 1977 but he will have to be more enterprising next week to eliminate the Russians.

For its part, RB Salzburg is on course to eliminate Maccabi Tel-Aviv, defending Israeli champions.

The go-offs continue on Wednesday with in particular Olympiakos Piraeus facing the Cypriots of Nicosia and the Belgians of La Gantoise against the Ukrainians of Dynamo Kiev.
