Yesterday, the Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Keela, announced that 611 new cases of the new Corona virus and nine deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, while the Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh pledged to tighten measures to confront the spread of the virus.

Al-Kailah said in a press statement, that the Hebron governorate recorded the highest number of new injuries, with a total of 151, followed by Jerusalem and its suburbs, with 149, and the Gaza Strip recorded 42, while the rest of the injuries were distributed in different areas of the West Bank.

Al-Kailah added that there are 34 patients "in intensive care rooms, including eight on artificial respirators."

For his part, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said at the beginning of the government meeting in Ramallah, “Coronavirus infection rates are still recording an unacceptable rise, and last week we announced a series of strict measures and measures and imposed strict penalties on those who violate these measures.”

"We will tighten measures in the coming days, more and more, to avoid further injuries," he added.

Shtayyeh said, "On Sunday, 420,000 students joined their school seats after a long break from school, from the fifth grade to the eleventh grade, and with this the educational process and all its classes would be completed in a mixed system between face and home education."

He added, “The school does not generate viruses, the important thing is safety in homes.

As important as the safety of students, we want the safety of the educational and administrative staff.

I hope all of you, especially school principals, will carefully monitor the implementation of safety measures. ”
