20 September 2020The yellow alert is triggered for bad weather in 9 regions, in particular in the Center and North.

Based on the available weather forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection - in agreement with various regions - has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions.



The yellow alert on the Alto Piave basin, in Veneto, on some sectors of Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and on the entire territory of Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise was also assessed for the day of Monday 21 September .



According to information from the Department, a depression area tends to approach the central-northern Italian regions, causing a phase of moderate bad weather, with storms, especially in the central regions and in Emilia-Romagna.



The Civil Protection announces that the weather phenomena, impacting on the various areas of the country, could determine "hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities".

In the afternoon today, rains with a prevalent storm character are expected over Tuscany, extending to Emilia-Romagna and Marche.

From the early hours of Monday, rainfall with a prevalent storm character is expected on Lazio and Umbria.

The phenomena will be accompanied by strong showers, frequent electrical activity, local hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
