The Corona pandemic revealed that we can learn, work and communicate remotely, and it came to writing, filming and producing an entire series from inside the homes of the staff, which we will see in the upcoming series on Netflix entitled "Social Distance", which will be shown on Thursday 15th Next October.

The series consists of 8 selected episodes, which tell about the unique emotional experience that most of the world's population lived during the past 6 months due to the spread of the Coronavirus, and the imposition of the necessary preventive measures, including the necessity to adhere to social distancing, and to prevent any kind of physical contact with others, and any kind. From clusters.

The series - with its separate episodes - approaches the details of this stage and its difficulty, and how people around the world have adapted to the new and frightening reality, which forced everyone to use social media, and various forms of technology to communicate with family and friends and even to work.

Unique experiences

But with the similarity of what happened around the world, except that everyone's experiences during the home quarantine are not identical, and therefore each episode presents a different story, and the roles are played by a different group of actors, so that the series presents various aspects of the impact of this period on everyone.

In a statement to the work team describing the events of the series, he stated that "although the experience of social isolation was around the world, there is no story like the other. Through a wide range of stories and moments, some of them touching and some of them ordinary, we hope to capture the moment in time." .

Reality inspired

Work on the series began during the first months of the spread of the Corona virus, and therefore it was written, directed and executed completely remotely, and the actors filmed themselves, so that the experience was as close to reality as possible, capturing real emotional moments for the staff themselves, and how to cope with no choice but to communicate about After and rely on technology.

The series was written and produced by Hilary Weisman Graham, known for writing the famous series "Orange is the New Black", who was able to completely manage the production of her new series "Social Distancing" from her living room, which expresses her ability and talent. .

Basically, "social distancing" is about fighting people in order to keep in touch with one another, Hillary told EW.

She added, "Like most of us, communicating via the Internet with others consumes a large part of our day, because it is the only way to stay in contact with family and friends while staying in isolation. Therefore, with these exceptional circumstances and restrictions, we decided to rely completely on technology and make it the focus of the series."

Family shares

The series is characterized by the participation of actors with their real families due to their isolation, including Stephen Weber with his son Jack Webber, Daphne Robin Vega, her husband Tom Costanzo and her son Luca Costanzo, and Daniel Brooks from the series "Orange is the New Black" and her mother, Larita Brooks and her brother DJ Brooks, Marcia Blake With her daughter Rocco Luna, and Assante Black from the series When They See Us with his father, Ayse Maat.
