On July 16, the Unified State Exam in Social Studies was held, in which a schoolgirl from Voronezh Daria Kovaleva scored 99 points.

It turned out that she had been removed one point for the definition of “social mobility,” which the girl had learned from a textbook recommended by the federal list.

The girl filed an appeal.

On August 5, the appeal committee found out that the definition of "social mobility" in the textbook is incorrect.

The members of the commission recognized that the wording “the movement of an individual or a group in the hierarchical system of social stratification associated with a change in social status” was simplified and raised the final grade of the graduate to 100 points.

Daria entered a Moscow university, now lives in a hostel and is gradually getting used to the metropolitan rhythm of life.

- Why was it so important for you to go and sort it out because of one point?

Not afraid that the

commission

will

lower the

result

?

- I was confident in my knowledge and that the work was done correctly.

Therefore, there was no fear that my score might be lowered.

It so happened that this was not my fault, and therefore I managed to get my score back and understand the situation.

I knew all the definitions by heart and wrote them in the examination paper, relying on knowledge from a reliable source, namely a textbook.

I made the decision to go to the commission myself, no one advised me.

First, I compared the definition that I wrote in the work and what was in the textbook: they coincided.

I came with a printed page from the textbook and explained the situation to the commission.

And so they gave me 100 points instead of 99. The experts were also surprised, because after all, this textbook is recommended by the federal list.

- How to react

and your

school

is,

that

you found this inaccuracy

?

- Of course, everyone is very glad that they noticed this mistake.

The school is proud of me.

In addition to correcting an inaccuracy in the textbook, a student who received 100 points is always very pleasant.

I'm happy too.

-

Do you

understand what

exactly

was the mistake?

- Yes.

Already at the appeal, I immediately realized the inaccuracy in my definition, and, accordingly, in what was in the textbook.

But when I found out a more precise wording, I was not surprised, because it was obvious.

Although for some reason, when studying the material, this did not alert me.

- Where

and for whom

did you go?

- To insure and calm my parents, I applied to several universities.

But I purposefully entered the Higher School of Economics, because, in my opinion, this is the best educational institution in Russia.

I study at the Faculty of Social Sciences, specializing in sociology.

I want to connect my life with social sciences and devote myself to this.

I still cannot clearly formulate who I will work as, but at least I have chosen the right direction for myself.

Sociology will give me the opportunity to develop not only in the humanities, but also in the exact ones.

That is, such a fundamental education with a wide range of knowledge provides a lot of opportunities, in my opinion.

By understanding these sciences, I would like to do something useful for society.

- Like what?

- For example, coming to Moscow, I want to somehow melt the ice in the hearts of the residents of the capital in relation to those who have moved from the regions.

You can feel some indifference, or something.

In general, I understand why this is happening, but perhaps it can be somehow changed.

- Have you encountered the indifference of Muscovites?

- Personally, I don't.

But friends and acquaintances from the regions say that people in Moscow are sometimes quite rude.

There are a lot of guys at my university who came from the regions.

Most of even smaller cities than Voronezh, from villages and villages.

This brings us together very much.

Besides, we have a good adaptation program.

We are gradually merging into educational life.

There is no such thing that I came and we were loaded with a huge number of texts and essays.

That is why I have already managed to see the city, merge into its atmosphere, get used to its rhythm.

In addition, compared to my city, I did not feel any cardinal differences, so I adapted pretty quickly.

- What do you like to do in your free time?

Do you have a hobby?

- I grew up in a sports family.

At first she was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, then dancing.

Dancing is my favorite pastime, one might say, my outlet.

- Returning to that very definition from the textbook: what is the level of social mobility in Russia now?

- In the 21st century, social mobility is quite developed.

You can even cite the USE as an example.

Now it is quite simple to move from the region to the capital of the country by entering a Moscow university, because there are all the possibilities for this, unlike the past or the century before last.

It happened to me too: I moved to Moscow from Voronezh, having passed the exam and entered the capital's university.

- What do you think, isn't it too much

now

being asked

from schoolchildren for the exam?

- No, I don't think it's too much.

Everything that is required of graduates for the USE corresponds to the level of the school curriculum, so I think this is fair.

For me, the Unified State Exam is a good chance to change my life, to enter a university that is included in the ranking of the best universities in the country, in order to further acquire knowledge of the highest level.

- In your opinion, what is important to learn the guys who

only

have to SDA

wa

be

final

exam

s

?

- I would advise you to study the criteria of the assignment well and what exactly is required for its successful completion.

It is for this that points are added or reduced.

If the score does not correspond to the expected, then you should check with reliable sources, check whether the scores have been reduced biasedly, and then go to the commission.

Knowledgeable people sit there and they can also raise points.

The most important thing is not to be afraid.
