On Monday, another American bomber took off on its way to Europe.

This time it was a B-1 with capacity for conventional cruise robots, bombs and naval mines, which flew from its base in Alaska.

According to the US military command, three B-1 bombers are being sent for long-term missions in Europe.

This is another sign that US efforts in bombing are increasing in Europe, says one of the world's leading experts on America's nuclear weapons.

- The efforts with bombers have increased and changed to cover larger areas from more directions, says Hans M. Kristensen at the Federation of American Scientists in Washington to SVT.

Efforts have increased gradually over the past five years, but especially over the past two years, he says.

Russian fighter jets caused incidents

In August, the United States once again deployed strategic B-52 bombers at the British base Fairfield.

This week, they conducted flights over international waters in the Black Sea, according to the US Air Force

Shortly afterwards, two serious incidents occurred where Russian fighter flights were to blame, according to available information.

A Russian fighter plane violated, among other things, Danish airspace, Danmarks Radio stated.

According to Dr. Petr Topychkanov, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri), the pattern is likely to continue.

- It is an example of Russian capabilities gaining ground and continuing to gain ground in the airspace of European countries.

Why is Russia behaving like this?

- It is difficult to understand.

If it is a signal, it is never explained by Russia's Defense Ministry or Foreign Ministry.

The expert: Russian denial

The probability of accidents is high because the military units of Russia, the United States and its allied countries are close to each other's borders, says Dr. Petr Topychkanov.

- In essence, the Russian reaction is to deny when the West accuses Russia of entering the airspace of these countries.

- With that starting point - if it is a signal - then it is not effective and a strange signal.

If it's a mistake, it's a terrible mistake.

Russian bomber

On Wednesday, Russia's Defense Ministry released a video of Russian strategic bombing (Tu-160) over the Baltic Sea escorted by Russian fighter aircraft (Su-35).

The Russian planes were followed by fighter jets from Denmark, Italy, Germany, Poland and Sweden, according to the defense communiqué.
