Su-27 intercepted a US patrol aircraft over the Black Sea

This was reported by the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation.

The center noted that on September 18, radars over the neutral waters of the Black Sea detected an air target approaching the Russian state border.

“A Su-27 fighter from the air defense forces of the Southern Military District was taken into the air.

The crew of the Russian fighter identified the air target as a US Navy P-8A Poseidon patrol aircraft and escorted it over the Black Sea, ”the report says.

Earlier it was reported that the Su-27 climbed to intercept the US and Swedish military aircraft over the Baltic.
