After trial by the disciplinary court, Lin Chonghong was downgraded to 1 grade and reclassified (an additional salary grade was approved), and the whole case can be appealed.
According to the report, Lin Chonghong, the former Major General Wing leader of the Taiwan Air Force Communications and Air Traffic Management Information Wing, has repeatedly sent improper messages, stickers, and physical contact to female non-commissioned officers, and Taiwan’s defense department transferred the case to a supervisory agency.
After the investigation of the whole case, the "supervisory committees" Yang Fangling, Yang Fangwan, Bao Zonghe proposed impeachment, and the supervisory agency passed the impeachment case on June 8.
The impeachment text stated that Lin Chonghong continued to use the social client Line to send frivolous improper titles and text messages such as "Love Concubine, Concubine, Baby Egg" to female subordinates.
Taiwan's monitoring agency said that Lin Chonghong also sent pictures of kissing and touching breasts to female subordinates, and some of the information was sent even in the middle of the night or early morning.
In addition, Lin Chonghong had physical contact with female subordinates such as supporting the waist and touching the ankles.
Taiwan’s supervisory agency also stated that Lin Chonghong’s sexually suggestive or gender-discriminatory remarks and behaviors made female subordinates feel hostile and offensive. Although relevant people were unwilling to file complaints of sexual harassment, his actions have indeed caused female subordinates. Psychological pressure is actually equivalent to sexual harassment.
According to reports, after the case was transferred to Taiwan's "Civil Servants' Disciplinary Committee" for trial, Lin Chonghong was downgraded and reclassified.
