The lifeless body of a man was discovered in an apartment in Rennes affected by a fire overnight from Thursday to Friday.
It was the inhabitants of this building, located at 1, rue Maréchal Lyautey, not far from Anatole-France, who warned the firefighters, alerted by the smells of burning in the common areas.
On their arrival, the firefighters discovered the body of a 50-year-old man in an apartment located on the 4th and last floor of this small building.
About twenty firefighters, mostly from the Beauregard rescue center, were dispatched to the site.
The origin of the fire is unknown for the time being.
