Iraqis gathered in front of the Palestinian embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday evening, to express their rejection of the agreement on normalizing the UAE and Bahrain with the Israeli occupation, which was concluded yesterday in Washington under the auspices of the United States.

The participants listened to a speech delivered by Ahmed Akl, Palestine's ambassador to Iraq, in which he said that the popular and mass forces must be mobilized to pressure the decision-makers to reach a more serious and effective Arab position than was the case at the last Arab League meeting.

Among the words that the crowd listened to was the speech of Sheikh Abd al-Amir al-Kilani, the imam and preacher of the Shaker al-Haboubi mosque, in which he said, “Plots and intrigues against the Palestinian people continue to be deported, killed, detained and demolished, and despite this, the traitorous rulers appear normalizing with the Zionist state. Normalization and not negotiation with this Zionist entity. "

For his part, former parliamentarian Hussam Al-Azzawi said that it is "a great stab in the back of the Arab and Islamic nation towards normalization with the Zionists. There will be no real peace with the Zionist entity except by granting rights to the Palestinians, so we came today to the Palestinian embassy, supporting and liberating the Palestinian cause as well."

Dozens, most of them clerics, expressed their views in a register placed at the entrance to the embassy.

The Embassy of Palestine opened its doors yesterday to receive visitors from 9 am to 9 pm to express their position regarding the tendency of some Arab regimes to normalize with the occupation state.
