“The sailors of the Baltic Fleet have evacuated a member of the crew of a foreign civilian ship in the Gulf of Finland, in need of urgent medical assistance,” RIA Novosti quotes a representative of the Baltic Fleet, Captain First Rank Roman Martov.

It is noted that, "despite the difficult weather conditions, the wounded man was removed from the cargo ship and taken to Kronstadt, where he was handed over to an ambulance brigade."

It is clarified that one of the crew members of the EEMSBORG vessel was seriously injured while performing ship operations.

Earlier it was reported that a planned field trip took place in the Kaliningrad region with the participation of signalmen from the Baltic Fleet.
