And based on the sublime directives of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman, the Head of the Municipality and Planning Department, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, launched the “Help the Niles People” campaign to collect 10 million dirhams in the first phase, in cooperation with the Charitable Works Authority.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi was briefed by the Executive Director of the Charitable Activities Authority, Dr. Khaled Abdul Wahhab Al Khaja, about the damage caused to some Sudanese states and cities, as a result of the torrential rains that led to torrential torrents and floods.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi affirmed the commitment of the Ajman government to provide all support to the brothers in Sudan, as His Highness the Ruler of Ajman ordered to speed up the implementation of a number of necessary projects in the most affected areas, by forming relief teams to contribute to alleviating the suffering of those affected.

He praised the efforts of the Charitable Works Authority, and the activities and programs it does at its main center in Ajman, and through its offices in many Arab capitals, to support the needy, expressing his pride and pride in the authority's role, work and humanitarian initiatives, and its distinguished role in serving the good march adopted by the state And provide aid to every needy.

He said that the charitable programs, aid and assistance provided by the Ajman Charitable Organization are poured into the approach adopted by the UAE and its founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and the state’s wise leadership is following its approach to standing by the needy and the afflicted in all A place, and provide aid and humanitarian aid to them in order to alleviate them and strive to alleviate their suffering.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Charitable Works Authority, Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja, affirmed that the organization’s work in Sudan will continue to provide aid and assistance to all until the suffering of the Sudanese people is lifted, and he stressed that the support provided by the Commission would not have been achieved without the directives and continuous support of His Highness.

He said that the Charitable Works Authority was one of the first bodies in Sudan to provide the necessary aid to those affected by the floods, in order to alleviate the suffering of the families.

It is noteworthy that the Charitable Works Authority distributed 5,000 food parcels to those affected by the torrents and floods in the capital, Khartoum, and a number of remote villages in Sudan, whose homes were washed away by flood waters, during a visit by a delegation from the authority to the Republic of Sudan.

This comes at a time when a second Emirati aid plane arrived in Khartoum yesterday, within the Emirates Red Crescent Air Bridge to relief those affected by floods in Sudan, as part of the current UAE humanitarian aid program, to ward off the effects of torrents and floods in a number of Sudanese states.

The Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Muhammad Ateeq Al Falahi, said that this aid comes within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in Al Dhafra Region, President of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, and based on the initiatives undertaken by the UAE to support the brothers in Sudan, alleviate their suffering, and enhance their ability to overcome the current disaster conditions.

Al Falahi stressed that the UAE is making great efforts to help Sudan overcome the repercussions of this disaster, and work with partners there to limit the aggravation of the health, environmental and psychological effects of the floods, indicating that the authority’s delegation, currently on the Sudanese arena, plays a major role in helping those affected and providing their necessary needs. At the current stage, the delegation is working in coordination with the country's embassy in Khartoum to strengthen the UAE's humanitarian response towards the affected people.

The Secretary General of the "Red Crescent" added: "There is no doubt that the large scale of the disaster and its extension to about 16 Sudanese states requires more relief and humanitarian efforts. Therefore, our National Authority delegation seeks to reach the most affected areas, and provide support and assistance to its residents, stand by them, and provide everything It would contribute to improving their living conditions ».

He stressed the continuation of the Emirati airlift flights to Khartoum during the coming period, to provide more basic needs for those affected, especially in the areas of health, food, accommodation and children's supplies, indicating that the delegation will also purchase some other needs from inside Sudan, based on the field survey and evaluation made by the delegation During the past two days, through his inspection visits to the flooded areas.

For his part, the state's ambassador to Khartoum, Hamad Muhammad Al-Junaibi, affirmed that the leadership and people of the UAE stand with the brothers in Sudan in all circumstances and circumstances, and said that the UAE’s humanitarian and developmental presence on the Sudanese arena is not new, but rather has been continuous for decades, and is not linked to a disaster or crisis. He pointed out that the UAE is one of the first countries to respond to the circumstances of the current disaster, and is currently in the field to provide the necessary aid in various fields, through its humanitarian arm, the UAE Red Crescent, and other Emirati organizations and associations.

Al-Junaibi added: “This aid provided by the (Emirates Red Crescent) to the brotherly Sudanese people is part of the UAE’s humanitarian response to support those affected and ward off the dangers facing them.”
