The Créteil prosecutor's office confirmed on Friday that, contrary to what a witness had said, no one was kidnapped last week in a bus, attacked by several young people who abused passengers in Orly (Val-de-Marne) .

A witness had indicated to have seen a person embarked by force in a vehicle after "a score" of young people tried to block a bus in Orly, in the early evening of September 3.

When questioned on September 5, the prosecution had indicated that it had "received no complaint for worrying disappearance".

Identification difficulties

According to the same source, "at least a dozen" individuals attacked the bus, managing to extract two young men.

The witness and the driver of the bus had them mentioned a "twenty" assailants.

According to a police source, they were "dressed in dark" and "smashed the rear window" of the bus.

"The abused young people, we see them leaving, we see them re-enter and take the second bus" chartered by the company after the incident, according to the prosecution, based on the images of the CCTV cameras installed in the bus.

The case was entrusted to the judicial police of Val-de-Marne, which struggles to recognize the victims and the alleged assailants, all appearing masked on the images.
