As noted, airspace control facilities detected two air targets over neutral waters.
"To identify air targets and prevent violations of the state border of Russia, a MiG-29 fighter from the air defense forces of the Northern Fleet was taken into the air," TASS reports.
The crew identified the objects as Norwegian P-3C Orion and Falcon 20.
It is clarified that no violations of the state border were recorded.
The day before, two MiG-29s took off from behind the aircraft of the Norwegian Air Force.
