The latest statistics released by the General Administration of Customs recently show that from January to August this year, the total import and export trade volume between the mainland and Taiwan reached 158.928 billion US dollars, an increase of 10% year-on-year.

  Among them, the mainland imported US$121.195 billion from Taiwan, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%; the mainland exported US$37.733 billion to Taiwan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%.

  In a single month, in August this year, cross-strait trade volume was 23.987 billion US dollars.

Among them, the mainland imported 18.651 billion U.S. dollars from Taiwan and exported 5.336 billion U.S. dollars to Taiwan.

  In terms of trade between the mainland and Hong Kong, from January to August this year, the import and export trade volume between the mainland and Hong Kong was US$164.928 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 9.3%.

Among them, the mainland imported US$4.102 billion from Hong Kong, a year-on-year decrease of 32.1%; the mainland exported US$160.826 billion to Hong Kong, a year-on-year decrease of 8.5%.

  In a single month, in August this year, the trade volume between the mainland and Hong Kong was 23.496 billion US dollars.

Among them, the mainland imported US$582 million from Hong Kong and exported US$22.914 billion to Hong Kong.
